electronically-operated retractable hard-top roof which will open

Convertible For the first time, the BMW M3 Convertible will be
available with a seven-speed double clutched gearbox which improves
performance and efficiency � as a ?2,595 option. The BMW M3
Convertible features the coupe�s 4-litre V8 engine, which
accelerates the cabriolet in seven-speed guise from 0-62mph
(100kph) in 5.1 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top
speed of 155mph. Buyers who stick with the six-speed manual gearbox
will arrive at 62mph in 5.3 seconds but still hit 155mph. The BMW
M3 Convertible also benefits from the German car maker�s
EfficientDynamics programme, which features brake energy
regeneration and various lightweight materials to lower emissions
and increase fuel efficiency. As a result the M3 Convertible with a
six-speed �box will average 21.9mpg while the seven-speed boasts
23mpg � an increase of 10 per cent over the previous BMW M3
Convertible. However emissions of 293g/km and 309g/km respectively
place both models in the top tax band meaning an annual bill of
?400. The BMW M3 Convertible � which is expected to make up a
quarter of M3 sales � goes on sale on April 26 with prices starting
